I love Ravelry. If you're not familiar, and like the fiber arts at all, head over and check it out. Totally random way to start things out? Absolutely! But since I finished the wedding planning and have now been happily married (just a few days shy of) 6 months, Ravelry has been the most inspiring and time consuming piece of my life.
And what does that have to do with this blog? Well. You see. I want a place to talk about my spinning and crochet adventures. And since fiber can't be my only hobby in life... I've taken up photography as well. With the help of my tax refund and the support of my Honey I have a spiffy new Nikon P100. It's not the full D-SLR that I still lust over, but Honey pointed out that I would get frustrated with too many options and need to start a little more simple. The Nikon is perfect for me ... for now.
Back to Ravelry... I, just this evening, found the Project 365 in 2011 group, the whole idea is to take a picture every day for a year. I was just thinking today I should actually start using this blog for something and, so, here we are. I just happened to take pics yesterday and today so it'll be good to start with this week. So excited! Spinning, crochet, photography, and some story-telling.
And so it begins!
